Vision

To become the leading catalyst for educational transformation in Africa, ensuring that all children receive high-quality education regardless of their socio-economic background

🎯

Mission

Our mission is to champion equal access to quality education for all individuals by advocating for policy reforms, promoting community engagement, and empowering stakeholders to create positive change in the education system

Our Approach

We focus on three core pillars:

1
Advocacy & Awareness: We advocate for the educational rights of every African child by promoting conversations that shape education policies and reforms.
2
Community-Based Programmes: We work directly with schools in underserved communities, reaching students and out-of-school children who require support through outreach and practical interventions.
3
Capacity Building: We empower teachers and young individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead transformative change and establish a sustainable educational system in Africa.
Our Approach
Did you Know?
Nigeria has the largest number of out-of-school children globally, with approximately 10.5 million children aged 5-14 not attending school, even though primary education is officially free and compulsory.
Insurgency and armed conflicts, particularly in the North-East, have led to school closures and destruction of facilities, displacing families and disrupting education for millions of children in those local areas.
There is a significant quality gap; in 2023, UNICEF reported that 75% of children aged 7-14 in Nigeria lack basic literacy and numeracy skills. The World Bank estimates that 70% of 10-year-olds cannot read or understand a simple sentence.
There is a major shortage of qualified and motivated teachers in rural areas. Many existing teachers lack the prerequisite qualifications or training and face poor remuneration and conditions of service, leading to low morale and high absenteeism.
Education in Nigeria is compulsory between the ages of 6 and 15, generally from grade one to nine. The language of instruction is English or a local language for the first years. Mandatory school consists of primary and junior secondary education.
